Smeraldo Fiorentini, general manager of Almaviva’s Transportation Division, welcomes the candidate students for the Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering and Mobility.

Almaviva is an Italian multinational company with about 45,000 employees in Information and Communication Technology. A Transportation Division operates within the group, with more than 1,000 professionals. The Division grows, based on talented people in ICT and transportation engineering. A new generation of engineers will help the company to reach new goals and face new markets.
The company integrates its solutions and products into the Moova Platform. It aims at all industry players and covers all modes of transport. The clients’ portfolio of Almaviva includes the Italian State Railways Group, wich operates 10,000 trains daily and a network of more than 17,000 kilometres. The portfolio includes some road concessionaires as well, such as ANAS. Almaviva has built with ANAS the first (or one of the first) Smart Roads in Europe. It cooperates with the City of Rome, one of the European capitals with the highest rate of traffic congestion, to build the City mobility Hub. Almaviva’s technologies also operate abroad, on British trains, Finnish stations, and the Riyadh subway.

The MSc in Transportation Engineering and Mobility is one of the master Courses of the International Catalogue at Federico II. The Course is taught in English and allows Italian, EU  and non-EU students to grow in a stimulating international context.
